COMMUNITY CLEAN UPS

Competition is a great motivator for people to get involved and recruit their friends to get into action and make a difference.  We developed the 'Fishing for Plastic Derby' which gives people the opportunity to create teams and compete for cash and prizes by collecting shoreline plastic in their communities.  A fishing tournament but for shoreline plastic (not fish)

PLASTIC EDUCATION WORKSHOPs

In Vancouver, we are using our new plastic recycling machines for education and engagement.  The machines were designed by the open source project called Precious Plastic. We are currently shredding, injecting and extruding  recycled plastic, creating new things from single-use plastic waste. 

Join us in our workspace where we’ll  provide hands on training through workshops, to the many interested people asking how they can be involved. This will also act as an educational hub for school and community groups.

We have also obtained fantastic and engaging animated educational material as well as children's comic style books about the ocean plastic waste issue. They will be used to engage school children, scout groups during our plastic workshops. Please join us!

INTERNATIONAL PLASTIC DERBY

This is a way that you can participate in the fun of shoreline cleanup from wherever you happen to be. We have had people cleaning their coastlines from Maine to Colorado to Perth, Australia and we want to see you join in too.

These cleanups will be scheduled to coincide with our Fishing for Plastic Derby days however they can be arranged for other times as well. Give us a shout and let up know if you have a place to clean up in mind.
